Ice Cream Social

Our first ever National Night Out in August, 2009

We had our first ever National Night Out in August, 2009. It was a great time to meet your neighbors and share some ice cream. The association handed out some Neighborhood Watch information and other safety tips along with serving some great frozen treats. Of course it helped that it was one of the hotest weeks of the year.

What is the HOA?

The Homeowners Association (HOA) is comprised of volunteers that help maintain our neighborhood property and community. The HOA is responsible for creating or facilitating social events that give us all an opportunity to meet and get acquainted with our neighbors.

This is Your HOA. Help make it the best it can be.

The annual HOA dues help this by providing subsidized social events, common area maintenance, mailings, newsletters, neighborhood garage sale advertising, etc. The HOA also funds projects for our neighborhood, such as repairing or replacing mailboxes, landscaping common areas, and maintaining the detention pond, vault and drain field. The Board always welcomes your suggestions for new projects and events to improve our neighborhood and community.

Board Operating Principals

Operating Principals of your Board of Directors

    • Although we must be organized and efficient as a board, we will be open-minded and listen to the opinions of all fellow homeowners.
    • The Board will address all questions and concerns in an objective fashion, understanding that issues can and do become personal for both the Board and the homeowners.
    • The Board will weigh the interests of all homeowners equally regardless of geography or standing within the community.
    • On issues that affect a particular group of homeowners, the Board will make a specific effort to seek their input.

Mission Statement

Our mission as a homeowners association is to further develop a sense of community by promoting a friendly, family neighborhood environment while preserving and enhancing the aesthetics of our neighborhood, the value of our property, and the quality of life within Donegal Park.

We will accomplish this by actively involving our homeowners in all aspects of our community including social events, forums, creating acceptable governing documents and conforming to those, and understanding each of our needs through open and timely communication.

Our Core Values

As homeowners, community members, and neighbors we want to instill these Core Values in all of us:

Good Neighbors - We are neighbors first, Association members second. There is no better substitute than to resolve issues as neighbors. Not all issues will have Association implication.

Volunteerism – We highly value volunteers who go beyond the normal commitment(s) of being a resident.

Property Maintenance - Each homeowner will maintain the Association common areas and their respective property in a manner that complements the Association and doesn't detract from the value of our properties or common areas.

Common Good - We will evaluate all issues on their merit to the Association and the Mission Statement, and not with regard to any particular interest group.

Continually Improving - We will endeavor to evolve as an Association to the ever-changing times in the policies and decisions we make, always referring to the original Declarations, Covenants, Articles, and By-laws for the spirit in design of our Community.
